As an Associate Creative Director at KERN I am responsible for creating print and digital advertising for DIRECTV, AT&T and a number of other clients.

With AT&T’s acquisition of DIRECTV and Warner Brothers and the launch of HBO Max, it gave me the opportunity and style of assets that needed to be created.

Every year my team has designed the holiday toolkit for DIRECTV. For the 2023 toolkit I specified how the assets could be used over a 20+ page style guide, meant for all print, digital and TV tactics.

Through the acquisition of Warner Media by AT&T, we had the opportunity to design a promotional direct mail to kick off the new brand.

SPORTS KEY ART

One of DIRECTV’s strengths is its sports programming and with each changing season and evolving sports landscape, every month new key art must be developed. Whether it’s about one sport or all combined into one composition, key art projects are are always fun and rarely easy. Since I’m unable to reuse imagery, coming up with new and exciting ways to design each layout is a rewarding challenge.

DIRECTV has a lot of internal initiatives for their employees and this was a fun and unique request for our team. We had to develop a mascot for their RAISE YOUR HAND program and below you’ll see the result. One of our amazing illustrators came up with this fuzzy little guy and the client likes to see it customized in every single way depending on which team within the company they’re promoting.
